Sorry folks, but you can keep all your racing cars to look at on this occasion (if I cannot drive them!!
) as I just love the following little car for emotional reasons:
Although this is not an actual picture of my original 1960 Mk1 Farina bodied A40, which was blue body / black roof, it represents my first darling little car that I bought for £15; my first boyfriend who I found with it; the first time I was stopped by the police; the first car I owned that I did the mechanics on; the first car I replaced the tyres on with 'remoulds' - remember them? - the first and only car I sold the number plate (1721JW) for £15, and the first and only car that was almost completely rusted away underneath, on the wings, and had a clutch that slipped if the wind speed resisted my attempts to go above 40 mph!!
It was replaced by a brand new company owned 1972 Mk1 Escort 1.1; what a difference 8-) 8-) 8-)
