2008 - Booked a trip
« on: 20 September 2008, 19:56:17 »

It's fair to say that 2008 has been quite a turbulant year for Maria any myself for a lot of reasons.. but things are coming together, especially now my job is sorted and other factors have improved... so we've decided we deserve a break.

For a week in November,  Hannah is going on a youth adventure week so this is going to be the first time in 3 years we've been able to go away anywhere together as a couple.

On the Monday, we fly from Cardiff to Amsterdam in the morning. We are spending two nights in a top 5 star hotel just on the outskirts (still easily accessible on tram route) and is walkable when drunk (just!)

Plan do to lots in this time - top restaurants, canals, museum or two, casino, sex show, Red light district (viewing only!), coffee shops, bars, the works.

Then on the Wednesday we travel on high speed Thalys train from Amsterdam Central to Brussels, where again we spend time in a top hotel, and sample what the city has to offer... (including belguim beers ::) )

We then fly back to Southampton, where (you guessed it) we'll be having a bit of a night out, before catching the late train back to Cardiff (first class, of course ;) )

I really can't wait.

Hope you both have a great time, I live about 4 miles from Southampton airport (it is actually in Eastleigh not Southampton)
I believe there are quite a few night spots in Southampton, but I don't no any of them as we are not into clubbing and such.

There is no such thing as bad beer, some beers are better than others.
