After seeing these I reckon they are the cars that really got me interested in the rallying as I left school.

That last picture takes me back a few years, used to work for them. ;D

I have driven the Chevette and the Manta, and prior to that the Mk 1 & 2 Escort and the Sunbeam, all were the duplicate cars, correct in all details except some of the engines, there were road going versions.

Could often get the car for the Weekend when it was our depot’s turn to have one. ;D ;D ;D

The rule was that you would get the sack if you were caught speeding in one of them, never stopped me, once out of the village. :y

My current favoit two car pics, the Intega is amazing clean for a 10 year old motor...

but by god is it quick

This was so long ago (July 79),i even had hair. ;D ;D
btw, spent early afternoon in the loft finding photos,the rest of the afternoon learning how to get them on here.might go for a picture avatar next time I have a spare day. :-[ ;D

hard to find these days skrunte.
I actually came across that car again sitting in a garden of someones house about 10 miles from where I live. it had brambles growing through the floor etc;and obviously hadnt moved for years.
It disappeared a while after that ,and around the same time I saw what looked like a new HSR shell on being trailered in the same area,so it may now be rebuilt as a nice HSR.

Saw one for sale a while back, but far too much bodgeing, had a 2 litre lump in it as well.   :'( :'( :'(
