Compter Help - Outlook Express
« on: 27 September 2008, 10:17:24 »

Outlook Express Spell Checker on Sending an Email.

My Spell checker is stopping to check every single work on the spell check, even the, cat, sat, on, the, mat etc

The options box id faded therefore I cannot check change any settings.

Any thought's on how to sort it.

TIA.   :y

As a matter of interest does it work on your machine ok and are you using SP3

It was fine on mine before I formatted and installed the SP3 upgrade.  Not saying sying SP3 is anything to do with it but seems to be the only difference since my last install. :-/

Outlook Express is a PITA - havent used it since W95.  If you've ever used Outlook, OE doesn't do all the things you need.

Sorry, that didn't really help much, did it?

Outlook Express doesn't have a spell checker - it uses the MS Office one if Office is installed.  Could be that SP3 breaked up some Office settings - try a re-install/repair of Office spell checker.
