Very sorry to learn of this and I am sure you will not be the last! :'( :'( :'(

Are you entitled to any enhanced reduncancy package from the company concerned? :-? :-?

If you only have the minimal dictated by the law being offered, I am doubly sorry for you! :'( :'( :'(

I was lucky when I volunteered for redundancy after 28 years service and walked away with a lovely enhanced package, but unfortunately I think those days are well and truely over unless you are in senior corporate management, especially with the banks! >:( >:(

I was made redundant about 4 years ago after 15 years making Halls Mentholyptus.
You'll find another job, they are out there ... just might need a bit of looking for.
Good luck in the seach. :y

That just about sums it up, what else is there to say  :-/
Apart from i feel like kak & i have all the usual bills like mortgage etc.
Are well i guess it's down to the job center tomorrow & see what's on offer.
Thanks TO ALL the folk in high places of banking, government & the like for this, because IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
So now i have no idea what my future holds for me  :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :( :( :( :( :(

Same thing happened to me on 6th September, the day I came back from holiday, it was a little awkward as it was my brother making me redundant. It got worse when Her Indoors started buying wallpaper and paint " to keep me busy ". There are jobs out there but up here approx 100 people chase every job.

Really sorry to hear about your bad luck.  In my experience you've got to be positive and keep looking for another job as hard as you can.

You will definitely find something soon!  :y

Been there myself - you must keep to your normal schedule and not lie in bed all day. Remember your new "job" is to find another job!!  Use the internet, networking, job centres etc.  Certain papers target certain job sectors - don't buy all the papers - use the free ones at the library!  Finally don't put "unemployed" or leave a time gap on your CV - you can always be a "consultant".  Good Luck :y

I can't stay in bed anyway, i have to be up doing something.
Yes tomorrow i'm of to the register with a few agencies & a visit to the job center.
What would be nice would to walk into another job, start next mon & get the redundency pay too. It would feel good to have some of the rich arses money that i used to work for (all £90,000,000 of it)
Thank you again to all  :y :y
