Mine has been really good since I got upgraded to 10 meg virgin.

And why do you think you will get a better speed?

BT's throughput at the ISP level isn't too bad.  The bottleneck will be sync speed or exchange congestion, which changing ISP will make bugger all difference.

at the moment i get

thats with sky/easynet 16mb service  (line sync is 9mb today )

well something has changed
I changed from isdn to adsl a number of years ago and my ping to a gaming server went from 90 to 350
took 9 weeks for them to admit the problem was on their network
that said it was a while ago and i am sure things must have improved  as there still in the game  but having said that so are tiscali  pfft

as a BT Field engr to me that looks like your running your ADSL off an extension?  try moving your router into the test socket on the NTE 5 and run the test again it explains how to do this in BT's phone book

i get 8mb sync rate 6mb avg download speed live 800yds from the local exch

On my BT (BT Business Broadband) line, I get a 6.3Mb sync (about 1.5m from exchange), and around 600kBps download from my test server (lowering to as low as 100kBps at peak times) - I don't pay too much attention to popular online speedtesters - ISPs are getting wise to them ;)

Hard to tell what I get off the Zen line due to all the services, inc OOF, I have running over it.

Virgin 2Mb cable.

Maidenhead server is rubbish from here. Ireland and Faroe Islands usually spot on.  :y

Slowest mine has been for a while, but at this time of nite it  normally is.  Saying that my mate has been suffering with Plus nets performane all day.
