Clarkson's a bit of a self inflated twerp IMO, but check out the competition. There's no other car based show close to it for entertainment (even ex Mrs used to enjoy it).

It's one programme I watch every week and I am looking forward to it already  :y :y :y

You all forget that Clarkson is acting. He has the Top Gear act for this show, if you want to see what he is really like watch the Father in Law, Brunel or the St Nazaire raid programmes.

Whatever he's doing he knows how to make a complete show, unlike those disjointed muppets on 5th Gear.  :(

I actually like JC, at least he's not afraid to stand up & say what he thinks, be it right or be it wrong.

Take TG Clarkson, calm him down and make him more thoughtful = real Clarkson.

His documentries are usually excellent, I have seen the St Nazarre raid programme twice and the monument has been moved from Church Street Car Park.

I love the show, especially the road trips / races. Strangely no e-mails from TG / BBC2 yet, I subscribe to it ( it is free after all ) normally some advance notice and trailers on TV but I haven't seen one yet.
JC certainly speaks his mind not like all the other diluted BBC shows, the last episode against the German competition was as funny as a Morecambe and Wise Christmas special, and where did they get 3 two seater Spitfires? They daren't censor the show too much as it makes the BBC an awful lot of money.

Cheers Martin, I was under the impression that the 2 seater was rare as it was used as a training aircraft.

It does, but the show is sold to over 150 other TV networks, the magazines, DVD's, merchandise etc make the BBC more money than any other show, that's why JC gets paid a lot of money, he is probably on a % of profits.
