What I had on my list last year - and got - was an airband scanner. Bit anorakish, but good gizmo.  :y

I dont want anything for xmas, both me and swmbo are saving hard for a house and although we weren't planning on looking properly til next year, we could be in quite a substantial dirt cheap property before xmas if our second viewing (with some knowlegable friends this time) proves to be worthy!

but i really need to get swmbo something, since i know she'll get me something!!
