found out why my Mac has slowed down a bit
« on: 16 November 2008, 14:27:27 »

I have an old Mac min that i use in the office, its a few years old but as relaible as hell.

I have a belkin hub and a 250Gb external hard drive for all the business info, but recently i have noticed that the mac is locking up a bit and slowing down, so tidat i was looking through the files and folders on the machine....

25GB of pictures  :o :o this is addition to the 75Gb i have on a small WD external unit

Cleared them all off and the little beauty is flying again  ;) :y

I'm the same, only get to go in the datacentres if its a job we can't do remotely (which for the servers I look after is a fair proportion of the builds fortunately, unlike many of my colleagues).

Believe me system maintenance much better than programming..

its been more than 20 years amd still I continue to carry the hassle of end users and their endless demands .. :(
