Insurance
« on: 18 November 2008, 14:43:09 »

Sorry if this has been covered before.

I am about to step into the world of Omega ownership and am wondering if any of you guys can recommend an insurance company. Or if there is a club scheme ?

Any help or advice appreciated  ;)

Personally, I'd check out some of the comparison sites like confused.com, moneysupermarket.com, insurance-supermarket.co.uk
etc. Should be able to find something cheap on some of those. :y

I'm also a noob on here,(and funnily enough asked the same question yesterday!).I did the comparison thing but didn't get a resonable quote so in the end went for Adrian Flux: 1997 2.5CDX Estate,no NCB,(3rd car).Parked on the drive/£750 value,Fully Comp £275.Might be worth giving them a buzz if you're....mature....(like me... :()

gocompare.com were the best for me at finding cheap insurance

i should remind you though thats its not just about the car, some people here have fantastic prices, or awful prices, based on where we live, how we drive, where we work, where we park, how many hit-and-runs we've done!

my mate's fiancee moved in with him just down the road from me after living miles away and her insurance doubled purely because of the postcode, even though the parking was alot more secure at the new house

My 24 year old youngest girl has a 1.4 clit and just for a laugh we put in a quote for that 3.0 Facelift that was pointed out on here for a grand. It turned out £30 a year less. Says it all really...

I do believe what they charge you is what they can get away with. Bit like fuel prices really, it's all fixed to rip you off!

I did a price check recently on my house insurance, ok off topic but related. Going through my bank Norwich Union insurance was £60 more expensive than actually going direct to Norwich Union themselves. All my bank did was transfer my call to them for a quote.
Guess which route I took.

Sign up for Quidco !!! You can get plenty of cash back......

On our Toledo 1.8T sport with MoreThan - £75 cashback and MoreThan was the second cheapest quote (by only £6) so £69 better off.....
On my Omega V6 Elite, £75 cashback from eSure - cheapest quote I found anyway....

Best plan is use the comparison sites to narrow down your list, then sign up for Quidco and use their links to get a ton of cash back :)

Done that, sadly after I had renewed my insurance.
Saved already on a new camera £12, after the initial £5 fee.

I'm with Directline and my insurance is 525 per year. That's fully comp with the top breakdown cover with me (25) and my missis (28) on a 98 2.5 V6 cdx. I also have 3 points so considoring my age I didn't think it was that bad
