I had one where the screen kept flashing. Problem was the inverter that drives the backlight wasn't good enough to keep relighting the backlight tube reliably. In that case a new inverter solved the problem.
Trouble is it can be one of several things, and you ain't going to know without some shop taking it in and charging you for diagnosis. If its still under guarantee take it back. If its the TFT screen, well you should see that by tapping around the LHS or top cause that's where the driver ICs are. It could be the cable/TFT connection, but they tape those up, so unlikely to come loose in a newish machine. Don't forget the ribbon cable that drives the screen. It gets bent everytime you open/close the lid so may break down. Best thing is to try and diagnose a bit more as to what is wrong, eg try tapping the sides, does it happen when you open/close. The inverter one I first mentioned was an absolute b*****D and took ages to work out.
Best of luck,
Ken
