Probably one for those who look after servers, but has anyone got a HP SMART array E200 controller they wise to donate or sell cheaply to OOF?

If nobody has one spare, I'll have to get that £95 one from egay, but think that is too much for a 2nd hand one

May i suggest TB that if the item you require is for the OOF ie, the members, then why don't agreeing members chip in a said amount for it. I don't think it's fair that you should be paying £95.00 for an item from ebay when it's for our behalf.
I'd gladly send an amount via paypal to you & if 95 members send £1.00 then its no hardship. Just a thought

It's a nice idea but in all honesty, I don't think we'd get 95 contributors. I reckon we'd get about 20 of us, which would be a fiver each.

Cash is not an issue.  Thanks for thinking on those lines but it is something that has raised its head more than once since the birth of OOF.  Be assured that if there was a financial  cost or implication then we (the admin team) would be looking for support from the forum.  We currently are not, but thanks for the thoughts...
