I'd like to live as long as i'm independant. I don't mind getting old & trading in the Beastie for a mobility scooter, & my house for a flat but the day i can't feed or myself or wipe my own arse then take me out the back & shoot me. Anything after that is undignified.
They put animals out of thier misery.

i see a spiritualist, 200 miles away once as a laugh, woamn told me things nobody could tell me but a handfull of people, and spoke of a friend who died a week earlier who nobody knew but myself.was not only shocked but in a right state after.

so in answer to the question,im happy with life but id be happy enough if i was told i had a week to live.

I saw one a few years back (Jenny Bright) & she told me things about my brother i didn't even know, it wasn't until i spoke to my mum later that evening that i understood. Strange how they see what they do.
In a strange way i'm kinda looking forward to going & to see my bro again, i've missed him over the years :'( He was older than me by 6 years & always looked out for me as i grew up & sometimes i think he still does.
There's some things i could tell you that would make your back tingle about my ex wifes little lad & his imaginary friend (uhm, not so imaginary). Spooky
[/highlight]

I have heard some stories around this subject before :)

yes ,just so i would know if we really are alone in the universe or to see if space flight would become the norm .After finding out the answer to those questions I'd happily pop me clogs So long as we don't find out in the next 50-60 years that is  ;D ;D ;D

If we don't get on with each other very well ,what will happen when a load of ETs come to say hello .Shoot first and ask questions later. what was that film called with Will Smith in it .The si-fi one where the aliens wanted to strip the earth of its resources

Speaking as someone who has suffered from quite serious depressive illness for the last 48 years, I would say that, on the whole, taking all things into consideration, looking at the pros and cons, I don't think I really want to live forever :(
