blimey talk about deja vue!!!!!
been trying to put an address in me host file for a couple of days and it wont go!! anyone tell me how to doi it in simple terms????
problem seems to be cant open the host file properly to add and extension to it? what am i doing wrong???? :-?

There is no extension to it - if you add one it won't work.  You can open it in Notepad (right click, then "Open With..." assuming Windows) - it just doesn't know its actually a text file, so won't open it by default.

theres a man who knows what he is talking about!! cos you just described exactly what i have been getting!! so how do i add an address to it???? :y
