The R770 stereo? Think thats what most 200s had.  Can fit a 6 disc changer to it.

Not many radios work with the (probably faulty?) clock/display.  Radio fitted quite low, not easy to see display on radio if you go aftermarket.

Looks like quite a tidy wee puddle jumper...  Good luck on getting it back to scratch.  The wash and brush up thus far seems to bode well!!   :y

it seems to work ok, the org stero and clock display shows the radio station when in use.

its the one thing i actually have receipts for. not the important.
what are grandads like file the niff naff and trivia but ditch the important paperwork! >:(

Unipart are the Rover group parts trading name, bit like AC Delco and Vauxhall...

The VX oil and Antifreeze will probably be an upgrade on what its been used to previously!   ;D

I think the "official" parts are X-part these days?

BTW - there was another Mig on Broadsword Park on New Years Eve (mine) - I was picking up a chassis from my mate who lives on there.  Whilst we're on the subject of Rovers, I nearly took out the side of a MG ZT with the trailer I was towing whilst trying to navigate your estate..

Lol.....The Gm parts division was Delphi.....now sold off as they had the most crippling Pension and wage liability of the whole group!

You can get most parts still for the Rovers.....forget about anything plastic though as the moulds are long gone and nobody will re-make given the high tooling costs (and hence why even a small prang writes them off)

i had a 416 sli for 3 yrs, did about 40000 in it and nothing ever went wrong. only thing was in the 3 yrs i had to have the head gasket done after a yr, it went again 2 yrs later so i scrapped it. i let the bloke up the rd have a lot of parts. apart from that, very reliable and pretty nippy too, ive always liked rovers, was gonna get a bigun when i got rid of that, but glad i got the mig at last   :y :y
