To me resolutions are something that can be done at any time, not only on Jan 1st.

loose weight
spending all my time in pubs clubs and bars = i eat crap and drink alot
well thats not going to change so i need to try and burn it off
so i will be one of the many who takes out a membership to the local gym this January
