PC Problems
« on: 10 January 2009, 16:08:10 »

Suddenly my e-mail "outlook Express" & "Incredimail" are not working due to an error in authorization with the POP3! :o :o

BT Broadband, for once, cannot help me as the e-mails are getting through to my BT Yahoo page, and they suggest I should speak to Microsoft (how?!) as they reckon "Outlook Express" is corrupted!

It might as well be in a foreign language to me, but has anyone any ideas on what to do please to correct this problem that has kept me busy for the last two hours!! >:( >:( >:(.

It could be your mail servers are experiencing problems. I have a Yahoo POP3 account and get the same message when the servers seem to be having problems. See if it rectifies itself.

It throws up a box asking me for a user name and password that the server requires.

But it does not accept these details when I enter them! :o :o

An error box reads:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Error logging in. Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

This is also the case with my Incredimail. >:(
