What about these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-2-5TD-Diesel-Glow-Plugs-NEW_W0QQitemZ290217421833QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item290217421833&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
Don't know enough about diesels to know if no-brand cheapos are a good buy or false economy

i would stick with vx parts, have used varoius pattern plugs at work, with failiure a a few months later,(unless it's with incorrect use, i.e timer) but i belive you get what you pay for :)

My plugs, as measured last night:

3 were 0.7ohm
1 was 1.1 ohm
2 were open

Grasping at straws here, but would that affect economy noticibly?

Nope, only effect starting......and probably will still start with all 6 knackered.....i only changed mine, coz i was selling it and to get the warning to go away from the dash!

3 outa the 4 on my c220 were knackered and it still started.....ok took a few more turns in wintery weather, but still started  :y
