started with 7 blackberrys in november at work, between the shoddy vodafone setup and constant arseups of the blackberry side, and the awful phones, we only have two left that do what they're meant to.  I've replaced the others with windows mobile devices.

still if your happy with it and it does what you want then i spose thats what matters.

glad your pleased with it, but i don't get the sales pitch. They seem to be aimed at middle management and above who are too removed to know that e mail is fairly common feature on mobiles these days, and cant cope with new tech i.e. texting so assume only qwerty devices are email capable, and then ask what are all the other things it does, totally amazed it has "other" features as well koz they only got it for email. "Oh, it has internet, wow :D" and off they go telling all, (who know far better how great they are), who say nothing for fear of showing up the boss, numps....This actually happened by the way. ;D

blackberrys are aimed solely at business, general pubic won't have them.

1) because they are crap
2) very expensive to run for a private user.
3) it costs something silly like £40 a month to have a Vodafone SIM blackberry BES enabled...the company then has to buy a license for the BES server...
4) at least the iphone makes free use of windows exchange capabilities

We have a number of blackberrys in the office, every single one has had a fault and gone back to be repaired, in some cases its so fubard they send us a brand new one as a replacement.

Also love the comment about the storm being on a par with the iphone..... great bull from Voda there! On a Par? My FOUR, thats http://FOUR year old Nokia N80 had Wifi!

iPhone contracts you get a years free access to BT Cloud and they are everyware and very quick, and no, i don't have an iPhone  ;)

Each to there own, but I *really* don't like it...

My brother has one...

The 'click screen' to me feels loose, it moves about too much and IMHO makes the build quality drop significantly IMHO.  I know they say its because its a 'button' but... its still too loose...
Playback of video files is hit & miss, if they play, all well and good... Just don't try and pause the video or change playback position...
Also don't like all the tie-ins...

But I got a new phone too...  SE Xperia X1 (awaits TB bashing)... BUT WAIT

The phone is made by HTC, not SE ;) And once its debranded and flashed with a generic ROM, its bloody marvellous!  My brother also got the Omnia the other day... to try and say its better... He couldn't get it to even work properly :) Bloody shit samsungs...

Still, if your happy with your BruisedBerry, thats all that matters  :y

Can I ask how is it very expensive to run for a private user?

Sounds like some sort of summer pudding. :P I'll have mine with a bit of cream on, please.

I'm with Markie. Have worked in the mobile phone industry for 17 years and ... terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired!

Are Nokia making any more 6310i's soon?
