I think this really sums it all up.


After hearing that many cities did
not want to offend other cultures by putting up
Xmas lights, so DIDN'T!
 
After hearing that the dvla changed
its opinion and let a Muslim woman have
her picture on her driver's licence with her
face covered.
 
After hearing of a Primary School
in Birmingham where a boy was told
that for PE they could wear Football
League shirts (Aston Villa,Birmingham,
West Brom etc) but NOT an England shirt
as it could offend others !
This prompted the editorial
below written by a UK citizen.
Published in a British
tabloid newspaper.
 
  IMMIGRANTS. NOT BRITONS, MUST ADAPT

                                    
Take It Or Leave It. tired of this
nation worrying about whether we are offending
some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist
attacks on London , we have experienced a surge in
patriotism by the majority of Brits.
However, the dust from the
attacks has barely settled and the 'politically
correct' crowd begin complaining about the possibility
that our patriotism is offending others.
 
I am not against immigration,
nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a
better life by coming to Britain . However, there are a few
things that those who have recently come to our country, and
apparently some born here, need to understand.
 
This idea of England being a
multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute
our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britons, we
have our own culture, our own society, our own language and
our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over
centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories fought by
the untold masses of men and women who laid down their lives
and of the millions of men and women who have sought
freedom.
 
We speak ENGLISH, not
Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or
any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of
our society, learn the language!

If God offends you, then I
suggest you consider another part of the world as your new
home, because God is part of our culture. If St.George's
cross offends you, then you should seriously consider a move
to another part of this planet.


We are happy with our culture
and have no desire to change, and we really don't care
how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY,
OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every
opportunity to enjoy all this.

But once you are done
complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our
Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I encourage
you take advantage of one other great British freedom,
'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.
 
We didn't force you to come here.  If you don't like it GO HOME!!

You asked to be here. So accept the country that accepted YOU. Pretty easy really,
when you think about it.

Agree 100%. I'm not against immagration but in my country I expect to live in my own culture without worrying about  "offending" someone.

funny, I saw this in circulation on the email circuit about three years ago, but apparently then it came from an australian newspaper article.

The thing that always amazes me about the whole 'they took our jobs argument' was summed up in a panorama programme about a year ago.

It went to nottingham, where a bus company ran an advert in their local rag for about a year.  Nobody applied, so they sent the ad to a polish agency. 90% of their vacencies were filled, and sadly the company decided it'd pay the johnny foreigners less, and they still took the work on 11K instead of 14.5K per annum.

They interviewed a woman on the bus, who bemoaned that there were foreigners doing english jobs.  They interviewed some local yoof, who to put it bluntly said that they wouldn't get out of bed for that, as it wasn't worth coming off the social.

I don't see dole que chavs queing to pick leeks or fruit for bugger all pay.  I don't hear one english voice amongst the cleaners at work unless it's a manager or supervisor.

And when I went for an interview at prodrive, I found that the english workers were being paid 25K, and the polaks and russians were being paid 12.

The truth of the matter is, that many of the immigrants just want to work, and their children to be educated.

Not blow up airports, not start riots. (How interesting to note that many of those islamic extremists of late are actually british born.)

You want to stop immigration, pass a law saying that you can't differentiate a blokes pay. because all the while you can pay a guy what you like, there'll be someone to take it  - just because he needs a job.

You want british in jobs, just start by beating out the welfare state culture that is ingrained in some people of this country.

When my parents emigrated here like many it was economic migrants.

However, back then britain had identity - now it has political correctness.  Where it had values, now it has the chav.

If anyone oppsed britain, it's britain, not the foreigners.  I may be from an immigrant family, but I totally agree with Enoch Powell's rivers of blood speech, it talks about a national identity.

Yet it's quoted as an anthem for right wingers who spread xenophobic hate.  And lets face it cattle like to be led.

My parents, when they came over from Rome, did as the Londoners did.  They accepted that was the way, and if they didn't like it - well the airport's that way.

Yet they still managed to hold onto their culture and identity.

It's the state's business to do that. It's the state's business to make those entering the country understand where the lines are, what's acceptable and what isn't.

Why shouldn't the dole scrounger of five years be forced to help a gang build a road, carry hods, pick leeks for next to opps all?  if he did or else benefits get taken away then it might spur the chav turd to get a job.

Sod that.

The foreigners can do it.  In fact as it's britain, let them practice their own laws, otherwise the human rights crew will be up in arms.  Still, if it all goes tits up, the government won't be blamed by the people, it'll be the foreigners who get it in the neck.

Portugese lady who scrubs the shitters every day for £6 ph = foreigner taking the job from the chav who's dying to get out of bed to do it.

English born and educated islamic militant who's never seen pakistan let alone knows what deprivation is = brainwashed innocent by the islamic dark side, because he never had a brain of his own.... 'dangle berries'.

Unfortunately you can read that all you like, but if britain can't hold it's own balls and say this is how it is - what chance do those horrible leeching filthy foreigners stand?

most of my work is done through agencies not many building companies use direct now as it saves in holiday, sick and other benefits. most agencies employ east europeans first as they can give them less rates making more profit. now east europeans are insisting on the same wage they will not get it as most foregin contractors are not good enough.they have been used for profit only. ive seen it over and over again for the last few yrs now, i wont put there work right, you want cheap labour you face the consequences, tough shite. hardly any of them are tradesmen but shown how to do it in a foreign language as nobody understands whats said. ive come a cross a couple of good decorators but no competent chippies or plumbers, or electricians.

Agree with most of what is being said here. If people wish to live in OUR country then they need to fit in with our culture, way of life, religions etc.

However it is a sad fact that until something is done about the "lazy, better off on the social" culture in this country then we have to accept that there will be an influx of immigrants who are willing to work and will do it for less money.

I'm not racist or against immigration but I cannot accept that we have to change just because we might offend people who have chosen to live here because it is "better" than where they are from.

We are British - accept it or leave!!

all i would say is if you went to some foreign countries you would not be able to say or do anything because of THEIR laws and that countries political correctness may be non existant !
