York Meet
« on: 18 January 2009, 20:22:32 »

Last year there was a Meet in York that was brilliant by all accounts.
What would be the chance of making it another meet that more try and go?
All facilities, Showers, Kitchen, work allowed, gazebo's & music night & day..

What does everyone think?
This is the link to the Meet last year

Could do with getting in touch with Chopsdad to see if he has managed to sort anything out for "The Lakes" be nice if we could squeeze it in between The Lakes and Newent  :y

Yes it was a fantastic meet last year.

I was thinking about this the other day actually, and asked the bloke who I borrowed the massive tent and trailer off if we could borrow it again this year... his answer 'Yeah no problem, when do you want it?"  ;D

So, You lot tell me when you want it, and I will sort it all out again! (Guy - you know what you have to do! ;))

Can arrange the tent, music, toilets / showers etc again...
Ive also got the added bonus of a caravan now too!  ;D

Newent is September 4th and 5th..
Chopsdad needs to pull his finger out for The Lakes.
What does anyone else think?

could do with a list for this York meet to see who is intrested and what date would be good for most :y
Ian did loads of work last year to set this up and everyone that went thought it brilliant?
Would it be an idea instead of the Lakes if Chopsdad cant sort something out?

Been told to post this, So I have... ;D

TBH it was prob one of the best car meets ive been to.

I really did 100% enjoy it, and everyone did (afaik) that attended. Still dont know where carpers gone though ?!?

I would love it if more people went this year, as it was such a laugh :D.

However I dont want to keep going on about it 'too much' on the forum as i sometimes feel that it sounds like im been big headed almost about it and trying to take over the other larger meets? Or is that not the case?

What I can say is 'whoever goes WONT be disappointed'.  :P

Like Ive said on the forum elsewhere, I've just bought a caravan, so I will be bringing MORE stuff with me this time! Im even thinking about sorting a buffet type thing (all depends on the number of people going and the price people are willing to pay!)

Music / Power / Party Tent / BBQ / Facilities / Tools etc will be there at a MINIMUM this year! I may try and sort some 'different' lighting for the night too (not saying what yet, it will be a surprise then!). :y

I am sure that is not the case, nice to have a meet on the East side, surly the more the better, ok not everyone will be able to go to all, but more choice is surly a good idea.  :y :y :y
