I think he's just desperately trying to be funny and clever...and failing at both.
He's just not intelligent or quick enough to come up with an "off the cuff" comment without saying something unkind or offensive.

Yet again he is being hounded by the press, now they have upset the family of the old dear - he NEVER mentioned her by name or contacted. the press have yet again thrown oil on the fire, by working out who it was and tracking her family down and upsetting them just for a F$%^ING quote to sell their $H1TTy rag - those bastards should hang

Does there have to be someone mentioned in person to make it wrong to crack jokes about Alzheimers (or any illness or situation involving pain and suffering).

My father was diagnosed 3 years ago and believe me, when some doctors call it the "living bereavement", they're not far off the mark.  

Leave the jokes Woss, you're not clever enough.  Your a chat show host. You depend on your guests. Ask the question then shut up whilst they answer.
