Ha ha, Well the plan is go to betta bodies and elite body craft. Ring up the woman who did damage and give her the quotes which will be without going through insurance, then tell her if she gives me 250 we will be square as I can imagine the quotes will be a lot more than that  :y

I lied. Its now not working again.

Good news hopefully anyway. My mate who worked in a bodyshop for a few years and has his own workshop with all the gear has said he will fix all damage, sort the bit of rust on back door, respray the one wingmirror which is minus a bit of lacquer on the top and sort some other bits and pieces for the bargain price of £100 with me buying the paint. Im going to ask the woman for £250 cash to settle it.

Think thats a good deal all in all  :y

Thanks for all nice comments!!! Well bit of an update. Had quote of bodyshop today as the woman who hit me wanted and it came to £408.93 inc vat. She is going through her insurance company. The bodyshop have put me onto a company called s.a.m. Smart accident management who have taken over the claim from my side. My no claims wont be touched, wont pay excess and will get a hire car. Cant see why she wanted to go through insurance as she will have to pay HER excess anyway plus costs of my claim. Oh well least it WONT be written off hey!!!!!  :y

Maybe you could explain too her AGAIN that your offer will save her the excess and maybe most importantly wont load up next years premiums... :-?

You end up with a fixed car and a few quid in ya back pocket.

Another update, assessor has been and given the go ahead for work.  :y

He pulled on my drive and i went out to meet him. The first thing he said was " Blimey, not seen one of these for years" closely by, "I owned one of these about ten years ago but it wasn't in this good a condition then"  ;D :y

So just waiting to hear off smart accident management  :)
