Parked my recovery truck outside the house last night and folded the mirrors in so they wouldn't get hit by other motors passing. Goes out this morning and what's happened, some bastard has pulled the mirror out on the pavement side and smashed it to bits. Even left a dent in the wing where it hit so hard. Fortunatly the omega which wa parked in front was left unscathed but the point is that nobody these days has any respect for other peoples property. Phoned the law to make them aware but was just told it was probaly a drunk and the chance of cathing them was very slim. Told the boss which pissed him off just pleased that he didn't blame me for it. I offered to go halves for a new one but he said it was fine and he would sort it out what a nice man

they all run on a computer so all recordings get stored on the hdd
the cameras are motion sensitive so they only record when there is movement

good picture at night as well as the camera shows in black and white but you an still see everything clearly
there is an option that you can view the cameras from somewhere else if your not at home so you can check round your property when your away from home

its a dvr card that you put in a pci slot of a pc mother board
i use a program called pico 2000
i can have up to 4 dvr cards in a mother board at 1 time each card can handle 4 cameras at 25 frames per second which is very close to real time
if you are ever in the area your welcome to come take a look
there are lots of options in the program
only need an old computer and load windows 2000 on as windows 2000 dont need much room to run

yep.. I'm using the same..the cars are recorded by 2 cameras 24 hrs..

ive looked at other programs and the easyest and best program i found was the pico 2000
ive ordered another dvr card to cover the last few remaining blind spots on the house

yep.. and interestingly when people see the cameras they behave carefull

mine are small cameras
you wont know they are there till you look properly
they glow red at night which is the infa red lights so the cameras work at night

same..  I place them in a visible place and tell everybody..

so they stay away now..  

dont know what to do if I catch somebody though..

giving records to the police is another story :-/

police will ony except the video footage of there time and date stamped
so be carefull when editing security footage

im not sure but i think you are meant to put a sign in a window or on the wall stating that there is 24/7 security cameras fitted
