Well I wouldn't recommend buying anything off him as he sent me a set of HID's that were smashed inside and now will not reply to my PM's despite me sending plenty.  Never thought I would have a pronlem like that from a fellow OOF member  :(

If you paid by paypal, did you raise the matter with them to get your monies refunded?  Notice that the deal is still unresolved in the 'Warning - read before buying' sticky at the top of parts for sale....

Not jumping to his defence, but these lights are notorious for getting broken in the post, I have recieved 3 sets from different people (not on forum) and all had broken adjusters, they just cant take the rough handling from royal mail. In cases such as this a claim from royal mail usually gets you your money back. even if inconvenient.

I no longer send headlights by post or courier. because of this.

Well I was hoping to resolve it with him but cant do that if they wont reply....

I would be happy to claim for them but unforunately the sender has to claim for damage not the seller so I am stuck there too.

I have PM'd an admin and they have put them on the list of problem sellers.

Royal mail have since changed the rules, either party can now claim for damaged goods, but only one party will recieve the refund if both apply.

In that case, would be advisable to recheck the claims procedure and take the matter forwards from there, rather than on open forum, as it were....

I just checked and to quote parcelforce claims section

All claims must be made by the sender. If you are the recipient, please contact the sender to make the claim.

I did not want to bring this up on the forum publicly, thats why I pm'd an admin a while ago about it.  I just saw the OP's post and thought I should make people aware.

When did that change, it wasnt too long since they told me thier "contract" is with the sender as he filled in the paperwork, and allways to deal with the sender rather than try with the Royal Maul.

I would also recomend any thing along the lines of headlamps to be sent by fully insured carriage then there are no losers.
