I went out at lunchtime, had a massive snowball fight with the neighbours - bottom half of close versus top half.

got about 3 inches here (although the mrs seems convinced its more like 6  )its still snowing steadily.cant believe all the schools are closed/buses and trains cancelled,its pathetic really.

Well, it is England Albitz  

I was in Colorado in 1998 when they had 36" of snow in 24 hours, and that did stop (most) of the traffic!!

13" of fresh snowfall on top of ice here today; the schools/Doctor`s/shops are open 'as usual'.....no doubt, any Health and Safety bods will have an attack of the vapours upon reading this!

Only a couple of centimetres here - still snowing, but not settling any more.  Took the wife to school this morning - no problem - roads all cleared/gritted.  Dropped her at the school, drove away, and then she called 2 minutes later to say they'd decided to close the school - don't know why - most of the others are open in the Ipswich area.

Couldn't back into my drive, though.  Apparently, the traction control doesn't work in reverse gear.  Went back down the road and turned round, then drove in forwards with no problem.  Didn't think I'd be going out again, but one of my neighbours who shares the drive had to clear it all as he couldn't back out.  So I quickly turned the car round and I'm facing the right way again.  Don't feel too gulty about not helping him - he's 25 years younger than me!

Couldn't resist the temptation any more - took the tractor out for a spin around the lanes out the back of my house.

Slow speed sideways action....   ....very childish....

Just down the road a load of idiots 15ish year olds have rolled up huge snow balls and put them in the road, so cars have to stop and then pelting them with snow. ;D

Down in sunnyBl##dy cold Cornwall we have about 3" of snow at last!!!!

But due to my miggy being no more I cant play.

All melting here at the mo, not really that cold. If the temp keeps mild then it will all be gone in the morning

swmbo will not be happy cos she will have to go into work.

Daughter is hoping her school is closed so that she can come to work with me
