US Police cars
« on: 08 February 2009, 16:21:00 »

Just watching ITV4 with some police chase program, they were chasing a Corvette at 165 MPH so the report says.  The cops were keeping up with him, what do the cops actually drive over these in the states.

Ford tried to discontinue then a number of years ago but such was the outcry from US and Canadian cops, they reconsidered....  And it lives on....   ;)

To be honest Kev, when I had my Pontiac that handled like a shed.  Took the 78 profile standard ryres off and put 60 profile Pireli P6 VR Rated tyres on it and ir was like driving a go-kart.  Couldnt believe the difference.

when i was in New York, the cabbie that took us to the airport was an ex-cop car, it bouned around all over the place, tyres squealing on the slightest of corners.

They also get less than 200bhp from the 4.6 V8  :o

Sounded nice enough though...

Well,
I don't like people knocking American cars all the time, remember that a 4.6 v8 in a mustang produces 300bhp and would destroy any omega :y
