why do you need a new cat? did it fail emissions?
Yes, they said both of these would sort it out.
Can you post the results of the emission test? Wouldn't trust the diagnosis of kwik-fit

The test said this
test one
engine speed 2500-3000 pass
co: <=0.300 % I got 0.433% fail
Hc: <=200ppm I got 78pp, pass
Lambda: 0.970-1.030 I got 1.033 fail
2nd
Co: 0.411% fail
Lambda: 1.035 fail
Also failed centre seat belt ( missing ), I think it is just under the seat, if not could I just unbolt the centre restraint completly and it then pass ? ie if it is nto there then they can;t test it ?
Nearside hub bearing assembly ( doesn't say what it failed on just that it did.)
Parking brake below requirement
Rear brake binding
So what the great minds here think.
Got a friend who works for Volvo, he is going to sort the stuff out with the brakes but he said that might be expensive and said it will be a pain in the arse ( thats what friends are for ) and get one of his pals to look at the emissions stuff. Any way I look at it he is going to only charge me a few beers for the work, any ideas on parts for those parts with the brake/hub bearings
I think maybe a new Lambda sensor ( would that change the co rating as well ? ) based on no experience what so ever, and any tips from you guys really.
Thanks to all the guys who shared info as to where to get cats, sensors etc really been useful.
