virgin tv boxes query

my sister just moved into her flat today and has gave me box that she said to see what i can do with them
it had a v+box and a standard box and a modem in there
my sister said she is going to give them me as i'm on virgin
ive already got v box and modem etc
am i aloud to sell these on as ive seen a few on flebay
ive checked them on my conection and they work fine

They are officially the property of Virgin Media and you CANNOT sell them. They will try charging your sister (if they can find her) for replacement costs of all the equipment.

Middle daughters Boyf works for them :y

they was already in the flat when she moved in
the flat had been empty for a while
she has spoke to virgin and they said that they will give my sister new boxes and never said anything about what happens to the other boxes

they were round the following day for the box when i quit my contract, i connected up my own router after that and got free broadband for 2 yrs, until i moved  ;)

Illegally LOL they shouldn't sell them, obviously they aren't that hot on enforcement.

my sister tod virgin about the boxes being there and they didnt say anything
my sister asked if they would activate the boxes in her name and they said no we will give you new boxes because virgin have now updated there boxes
she asked what happens with these and they said nothing on our system for the boxes to be collected or anything

ended my contract with virgin 9 months ago still got the box and by plugging into the wall socket can get about 10 channels eg music discovery

As ex Virgin staff, best advice is to hand the boxes to the tech when your sister is installed.
They are and remain the property of Virgin Media. You could be prosecuted by Virgin if you sell them on egay
