Push the button up and hold it there for around 5 seconds, perhaps just needs resetting  :y

Get the resident ghost to reset the switch.  Tell them to press and hold the switch in at the closed position, repeat at the tilt, then again at fully open.   :y

Not an unknown problem, sometimes caused by a dirty "track" in the control switch, and IMHO I think damp plays a part as well.

There used to be a detailed thread about removing the switch and cleaning it all out ... On my old miggy (it's never happened in this one) I found that a few exercises of the switch acroos the whole range seemed to sort it for a few months ..

Anti trap operating. It's like the windows in that it can tell if there's a restriction when it's closing and should open again. Try lub'ing the drive mechanism.

maybe mine is haunted as well!!Had similar problem not so long ago when it just opened on its own a couple of times and then refused to sit back down properly. Touch wood, seem to have been able to have reset it tho and hasnt played up since.

It used be horizontal in Rosyth where I was an apprentice, so wouldn't have gone into the sunroof!  ;)  :y  :y
