a good day at the office...
« on: 18 February 2009, 19:37:51 »

only had 3 jobs today, all easy ones so was home for 12.30.
a bit of dinner and then settled down to the cricket aaaaahhhhhh...
.....and just finished a snotty letter to the local council damages and claims assessors.. the story goes-
we had (unexpectedly) a crew turn up to remove all of the blocks asbestos contained soffits and didnt replace them straight away. 2 days later the rain came down and assisted with a strong wind pi55ed into the exposed loft and soaked the bedroom ceiling 10 inches in and dripped onto loads of stuff.
the council are accepting no liability and have pushed our letter onto their damage limitation bods. so no doubt this will drag on, they should just pay up seeing im taking no legal action about their neglect in informing us about asbestos removal from our loft areas !!!!!! >:(

this is a common trick the council pass you on to there people but your dispute is with them not  there people, get a estimate submit to them give them 14 days or take them to court.if they want to pass it on to somebody thats up to them
