The last comments on the page are a bit rude....but I find myself in total agreement with the description.

It's not just MEPs -- this, by and large, applies to MPs too. Apart from the members wanting to rip off the system as much as possible, the salary and allowance system itself is fundamentallly flawed (much like our benefits system, except in scale).
