I'd just add though in this situation the woman is with you, so she will always advise on the size she needs, as long as the man pays!  He cannot get that wrong, can he?? ::) ::) ::) :D :D ;)

Good point - I don't think's ever been a recorded case of a woman refusing a credit card because it was the wrong colour!   ;D

Having said which, I once gave a girlfriend a gift token for her birthday - she took it back and exchanged it for another gift token...   ;)

What you have to remember is that for a woman shopping is a recreational pastime, like a walk in the park or going to the seaside. Women don't just go to buy things, they go to look at things, to try things on, or just to luxuriate in the surroundings of Shops (a bit like luxuriating in a foam bath, but they do it vertically and with their clothes on).

Men, on the other hand, go shopping to buy things. Supermarkets hate male shoppers like me, because we go in with a mental or written list of what we need, buy it, and go home again. They prefer women shoppers who browse the shelves looking for bargains and buy three times what they need.

None of the above paragraph applies to tool shops, of course. Tool shops are for browsing, for seeing what's available, for imagining the joy of ownership, and for thinking not "do I need one of these?" but "can I come up with a reason, no matter how specious, to justify buying one of these?". As a case in point, some weeks ago I found a local shop selling bolt croppers for four quid. They were beautiful - matt black head and long shiny red handles. I argued with myself for some time about whether I could justify buying them, and eventually decided I couldn't. Imagine my joy a couple of weeks later when I had to remove a laptop from a desk which it was locked to with a security cable to which they'd lost the keys, and I was able to stroll into town and buy the bolt croppers with a clear conscience!  ;D

 :y

for me shopping with wife means another extra loaded on visa >:(

but I wish one day I can shop for an unused brand new car ::)

Can't stand shopping - drives me round the twist even shopping for essentials like food! The only redeeming factor about food shopping is the totty in the supermarkets! ::) ;)

I do most of my clothes and shoe shopping online. :y

Yep. Seen the meet photos Bob. ;D
