Unfortunately, Saabs are worse than the Omega's for losing money :(

...that you can get something like this, with only 13,000 miles, for eight grand.

You should see the price of Signum's, :o along with others, seems to me to be a good time to buy if in a postion to do so. :)

A friend of mine bought a Saab turbo convertible recently, similar age/mileage to that one, paid £7k for it.
Fancy an LS400 with lpg myself, keeping an eye on fleabay etc
The Omega seems to be starting to fall apart (again)I think I may have had enough of the Griffin.

Just did an on line Vehicle registration tax calculation that is payable on all cars registered in Ireland for this car .
https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showCarCalculator
The revenue say that the open market seling price of this car, which is used for the calculation of tax to be paid ,is 25,232 euros or £23,213. ;D
If I bought that car and imported it to Ireland I would have to pay 9083 euro or £8265 to register it.
And they wonder why car sales are on the floor over here..... >:(

That happened to me when I was living in ireland three years ago - I brought a mondeo over with me and ended up paying just over 5000 euro to stick an irish plate on it - a year and 50k miles later it wasn't even worth the price of the registration fee.

I wondered why all the cars over there (co Clare) were 10 year old rust buckets until i understood the registration and new car prices....  :o
