Insurance Settlement - Part II
« on: 17 March 2009, 20:55:54 »

So there I was all ready to fight to get the first settlement offer increased.  All I had to do was wait for the insurer to receive the mountain of paperwork that I wanted.

I'd spent some time on Autotrader researching and in turn perfecting my argument for a bigger payout.

But instead I get a message from the claims handler asking to speak to me and a letter via e-mail with a revised offer for the Mig:

£1500 (up from £1150)

Result  ;D.  But I was denied the chance to have a heated discussion as to why my Mig was worth more  :(.

Never mind.  Just have to hope that the third-party's insurers accept liability and I get my excess back.

Result mate !!!

With £1500 in your pocket you should be able to replace your car with one a bit newer.........

Nice one -- you should do well in the current market with £1500 to spend  :y
