Not that id drive an auto properly as im a lazy driver....hence love auto"s.

Oh i have tried them in manual mode, used mother tunnies 3.0 Elite Estate to practice  ::), but still lacks feel!

I had ford galaxy 1.9tdi now that was boring... :( i drive elite 3.0 manual saloon a lot more exciting.......maybe you need a manual 3.0 estate :y

An Omega Estate is useful
It can carry a lot more than a Volvo V70 & is an excellent workhorse

Stick it in 2nd with the sports mode selected, then drive it properly and tell me it's boring ???

I've surprised quite a few "we hate auto" folks with exactly how quick a 2-tonne car can be with an auto box .. and what is good is to then, having got to 80 far faster then they realise, flick it to 4th, sports mode off, crusie control in .. and .......

Why waste energy wiggling a gear-stick about & bending your left leg when some kind German has gone to the trouble of designing you a gearbox that does away with the need?? :)

I prefer mine to my dead ford Granada,
2.5 V6 with manual gear box I had good fun cruising to W-S-M yesterday and the drive back was a nice as I shot past a prat in a TT :y
The best thing about the estates is no-one expects them to shift like they do, good fun as a sleeper, few boy racers have seen my v6 badge as I left them standing  ;D

I've had 3 estates for the practicality of them, although prefer the look of a facelift saloon.
Dullish to look at maybe, but fast, comfortable and a bit of a Q car even with the badges on!  ;)
Defo need V6 power though.
