Respray
« on: 25 March 2009, 20:08:37 »

( hope this is in the right section ! )  I have a few blisters apperarring on two of the doors and a scratch on the boot . Went to the local guy, who I know is very good as he has been recommended by over a dozen people. He checked the doors and said that the rust had gone through the bottom ? so to do it properly he quoted £450 , sounded ok to me , what do you good people think, that was for a full respray in the metallic blue it is now , your views as ever are much appreciatted.

Take care

To fill dent in my rear door, respray the top & bottom & blend into front door + respray rear bumper - £480.

No rust work to prep so sounds about right to me  ;)

3 paint blisters, drill & fill & respray and the guy comes recommended!

I hold my stance that it's ok.    I was quoted £250 for one full door & part bumper respray.

It says FULL respray, and I would expect to pay about £1200 for a good one.

Why would he have a FULL respray for a few blisters  :-X

I've been worried about you for a while Steve, last week I came across a helpful post you made with absolutely no sarcasm.  Good to see you're back to normal  :-*

Methinks he means a "full" respray of the stricken door ... rather than a patch respray of just the rusty bits ????
