In the news today
« on: 25 March 2009, 19:32:10 »

Something like:

A builder is driving past a house he is working on and spots two low-lifes helping themselves to his lighting/cameras. He phones the law and is told no one is available for two days. He phones his mate and the two of them round up one of the culprits and put him in the back of the van. Then they drive round to culprit number two's house and put him in the van...blah..blah....blah.

Result: Both builders were charged with kidnapping and have been lucky to escape jail. One has a suspended sentence and community service(working along side the burglars, no doubt)

Stuff like this used to make my eyes pop and veins bulge out of my temples.
Nowadays I just laugh like a drain, lock my doors and polish my machine gun.

Another story is of a guy that phoned plod to say someone was in his yard and was wandering around trying to breaking into his garage.

He was told no one was available to attend at that time.

He phoned back to say "No need to hurry, I've shot him".

Within minutes the guys yard was a mass of flashing blue lights.

Dunno if it's just an urban myth, but :y ;D

I think the story/joke goes, when the police arrived they said to the bloke "I thought you said you had shot him" and he replies "I thought you said you had no one available"  ;D ;D ;D.
