thats actually very reasonable for a Vx dealer, as long as its the kit, and not just the belt.

Worth doing the water pump at the same time  :y

Out of interest I obtained a quote that came out at £400 plus water pump!! ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

If you cannot do the job yourself, for a dealer that is not a bad price. ;)

Ah, now then im not sure about that, need to double check. Btw, the guy said i wouldnt have to replace the water pump as its only really the 2.0L you have to do that with. He said mine being the 2.5, i can replace that if and when need be without any trouble.

the reason we all say change the pump is because although it is Driven by the accessories belt you have to remove the timing belt covers to get to it so while the covers off to change the belt it makes sense to change the pump as its only £30 odd

it makes sense to change the pump with the belt. its only 30 quid for it, makes it cheaper in the long run.

heard an add on local radio the other day, vauxhall master fit doing cheap, for them, servicing.

They need the work by the sound of it, finally sounds like the penny dropped, for a while...
