Agreed, did you hear what the Policeman said about his past crimes, including hitting women  >:(

He should be strung up by his testicles.

But why should the tax payer house and feed the low life for the next 50/60/70 years.

In cases like this where there is zero doubt who committed the crime there should be the death penalty....he serves no useful purpose nor chances are he ever will.

I was impressed with what Jimmy's dad said on the news, only caught a bit, but expressing concerns about society's chaning attitude, or along those lines anyway... :)

Apparently a simple proceedure can stop people like this thug reoffending.
It involves implanting a small piece of heavy metal behind the ear to ensure they don't reoffend, with a .44 magnum.

I take on board the comments regarding taxpayers keeping such dirt incarcerated & yes it's not cheap, but if i'd committed such a heinous crime & been caught i'd consider death a merciful release.
Ideally a natural life sentence of hard labour & abuse & hatred from other inmates is worth paying a little more tax for.
Plus keep him on suicide watch so he can't take the cowards way out. Keep him barely alive terrified, tired, cold & hungry for another 50 or 60 years knowing he'll die that way with no hope of anything else ever. If we started passing sentences like that it would be a deterrent in itself, saving lives & money in the long run.

This is going to get some of you foaming at the mouth..
.. the sentence is wrong - it's too severe, in relation to the actual act
Yes - he should have been punished for his earlier acts - this may have stopped Jimmy's death, by re-educating the thug
However, Impartially,  all he did was throw a dish at a kid that he believe had  'dissed him', the chance of that throw killing him is slight, in this case it did kill him. :(

we need to weed out these 'people' and deal with them before they lose control like this, instead of when they lose it

Sadly, I agree with you.  As did the deceased father, if I read him correctly....
