Used to be fuse 21 on a Daf as I recall  

Unfortunately to many camera vans on A roads these days  

dont know what fuse   i dont drive them i just fix them when our drivers break them up  

Drivers come with the special in-built ability to break trucks in new imaginative ways that annoy fitters  

i must agree with that one   when im on my back under a tractor and a ejector trailor on a land fill site trying to get a old bed mattres of the propshaft   the driver stays far away from me  

Try truckers on the road, we are out of sight, out of mind and have even more imaginative ways to ruin a fitters day, especially when the overtime it is at a low this month  

so you get a lot brake downs around xmas then

That big thing that uses all the diesel underneath the cab stops making that loud 'engine' sort of noise

I know the road very well and have attended many a fatal accident along it when working recovery. The stories I can recall are not suitable for discussion here and could easily give nightmares

That said, it's still one of my favourite roads both in a car and on a bike but there's a time and a place for silly things! And that road isn't either!

I have been known to feel invincible on the bike, in fact it's why I got rid 4 years ago. I was not in the right frame of mind for riding a 250Kg machine which was capable of out accelerating anything on 4 wheels, and lots of things on 2, and somewhere in the region of 160mph so got rid!

I'm now looking for another one though as the troubled times I was going through are long gone and I'd be happy to ride out again now without being too silly... Unfortunately bikes have the same effect on most people... Adrenaline and a fantastic feeling of freedom. This can lead to stupidity if not kept in check! Any biker/driver who says they've not done something a little naughty is probably telling fibs as we all do it! :-? :-?

M4 this afternoon, bunch of 'bikes, 6 or 7  ... all biggish (well big back wheels anyway !!) weaving all over the place, I was in middle lane doing 60 overtaking a truck, they went past me in outside lane, got really close to a Shogun ahead of them, then pulled right across in front of me onto the hard shoulder and went down the inside of a coach before swinging back out to the outside lane.... I guess all done at about 90 mph... then they opened up and pulled away pretty quickly.

Would only have taken a moment for it all to have gone very wrong

Whats a 3.2 V6 doing in the middle lane at 60mph  
Did you have a hat on as well  

It's a single carriageway & I drive a Traktor!
