On friday and today I used fast trains first time..

On a journey to 300 km road it reaches 252 km/h (for safety as I see it can easliy go % 30-40 faster) but interestingly it seems like 150 km/h in a car :-?   actually the arrival times show an average of 180 km/h..

But it was really comfy and cheap..food service, tv,leather seats etc..

it was really funny to see you can live in another city and work in an other one if you wake up earlier

and no need to be stucked in traffic

Or Chiltern, the fastest in the fleet can barley to 100mph

I commuted for the last time on thursday into central london and I'm glad it was the last time.  Trains in the UK are SHITE at best and traveling at weekends - forget it .  

We may be getting Bullit trains, but they won't run at a bullet speed, more like a blank.

Our daughter moved to London because she could no longer face paying over £3,000 p.a. to commute from Colchester,it was tortuous.
The service is rather atrocious and ridiculously expensive.

I know that feeling exactly - perhaps a name and shame of the worst services in the UK.  Namely National Express (Express my arse).  This year alone they are closing the line fully between Colchester - Shenfield for 48 weekends.  Bus from Colchester - Billericay (Not even on the same line).  Makes my blood boil when they have the audacity to charge £3700 p.a for a bus train ticket.  

At least now I have no more commute apart from sitting in the mig surrounded by no-one.  YIPPEE
