Coolant Change
« on: 12 April 2009, 21:14:30 »

Just done my first coolant flush / change (about 18mths since last done). At the recent Reading meet Paul(VX1) was doing one and gave me some tips :y. Together with Tunnies how to I built up the confidence to do it. Paul did say to flush the heatrix matrix but the pipes looked a bit tricky to get to so i left it.

The cabin temperature now gets like a sauna compared to just warm before which was the reason for the change.

I think most people on here have relied quite heavily upon the guides on here.  I would have been breaked without this site.  Built up my confidence and competence no end.  Keep up the work OOF'ers. :y

I have tried to put as many pictures as possible in my guides as i find them of enormous help, my diff seal does need doing, we have a good guide, but for some reason, lack of pics makes me uncertain, dunno why  :-/

Pictures seam to make it look more simple and give you better guidance (i find anyway)

hence the updated 2.2 cam cover guide  :y

Thanks and you're absolutely right - In itself it's a small thing but hopefully will lead to more adventurous tasks!

Also agree with Tunnie that pictures help sooooo much!!

Finally I hope it encourages people to attend their local meets as so much can be learned whilst having fun too. :y
