I cannot believe some peoples attitude to this and how quick they are to slag off  "the filth" as they so nicely put it.

I do think the police officer involved was ott in how hard he pushed the man, but you're all naieve to think he was just innocently walking past. As mentioned in an earlier comment, no demo's are peaceful, there are always the minority that come with the sole intent to cause trouble. As for the "masks" the police thugs were wearing..they are public order issue, standard dress and flame retardent because yes some people through petrol bombs at police but obviously thats ok.

Its was also nicely skirted over by the media that only minutes before this incident 4 police officers were attacked by a large group of "peaceful demonstrators". Once again this seems to be acceptable in some pepoles eyes, thats thier job after all.

I'm not defending the officer in question and yes i think his actions need to be investigated but the level of predjudice shown is staggering.

What ??  If someone had been waving a banner and shouting at the top of his voice...it is his right to peacefully (as in non-violently) protest, or in the dead mans case, walk home from work, with his hands in his pockets.

As for masks being standard issue...why were there only a couple of officers wearing these "standard issue" safety items.
I think you need to re-asses who is naive.  :y

yep, standard issue to all "public order" trained officers..not all police on duty were, hence not all having the "masks". I hope this isn't too hard for you to understand.

I have not once attempted to defend the officers actions, i think he was out of order, my point is simply because one officer was wreckless some people see it as an opportunity to slag off the profession as a whole which is out of order.
There are a**eholes in every walk of life but you dont find me on here slagging them off because i had a bad experience with one.

As for the comment made about the slow walk with hands in his pocket, that is spot on.."you want me to move, make me".
He is culpable for his behaviour but yes the officer needs to be investigated and dealt with appropriately.

There just a bunch of pussys hiding behind there job......makes me sick the way they think there above the law.

Met enough too know 90% are tossers.

Personaly id like too see the oficer in question being spit roasted in a nice prison......

shut up you small minded idiot...we are talking about one officers actions but yet again it turns into a free for all against the police in general.

i wonder how you've met so many police to draw such a conclusion...

Well lets think about that....hmmm well everysingle copper thats arrested me for a start... ;D

On a more serious note ive met plenty and like i said before most were/are tossers who think there something special.....again as stated previously i fully believe they have small peni$ syndrome.

They seem too think they have the right too do just what ever they want as there the ones who enforce the law despite some of them not actually knowing what there talking about. ::)

Oh and regards being small minded....you"ll have too do better than that sweetheart... ::)

well with that attitude i'm sure most of the police that you have been in contact with thought you were a complete arse.

sounds like you have a huge chip on your shoulder but expect to be treated with respect and dignity when you fail to show the same respect to anyone who wears the uniform just cos you think they're all tossers!

Take care darlin.

So you feel you know me do you...hmmm.

You make assumptions yet call me small minded....say i have a chip on my SHOULDER.....you aint got the first clue you tosser.

Sounds like your the thingy with the chip on the shoulder....now jog on and get a life. ::)

You aint fit too lick my arse let alone converse on the same level as me. ;D

Ok, lets stop this in its tracks...

No probs with debate but I and the other admins draw a line at downright trench warfare with sweary words and insults in place of reasoned debate.

Please cease and desist or I will personally withdraw access to OOF for all combatants.

Please, debate away.  No probs with that.  What I think of the matter makes no never mind, but I will keep my responses clean.

If you want to enter into abusive taunts in an effort to get your point of view across, then thats another matter and will be moderated.

Your call, not mine.

There's good and bad in every walk of life.
Many years ago I was sat in one of the pubs in my home town at around 1am on New Years morning, the place was packed.
The door opens and in walks Glyn the copper. He walks the length of the room and back, eyeing every one as he passes. He stops, turns to the crowd and says "Hmm...right then....just making sure everyones drinking !" and off he goes.

It's ok.  All the contentious things were said with hands in pockets.  Apparently that makes it hunky-dory. :D
