TBH Cem, they tried to con me.  They sent me letter just before a payment was due, so they added te ammount outstanding (just after the last staement and based it on the highest 1/4, then added the 47% increase and came up with £88

It was on £27  I had to explain to them that the heating is off for 6 months a year, a payment was due in 3 days etc.  we agreed to increase to £34 for 3 or 6 months.

Just over £30 a month rental and I was around £100 behind, around £10 of calls a month

Top level BT Broadband and we can't go down to option 2 as we blow its usage levels

Can't change due to BT Vision box
Thought Phorm hd made you change your mind?

This month will be slightly ahead - I have had £150 paid in from paypal, so that will help, but then school fees are due >:(, luckily we do have help with those (80% bursary and MIL cheque).

That filling was painfull financially, it would have been less different but the 2 PP transactions had not gone through, also I did spend £200 on PP last month (heads & oil cooler).

My wife commented on me buying two magazines and a map!

All the utilities have shot up. Electric 40, gas 60, phone&BB nearly 60, I am investigating all of those - but I did owe BT a bit through low DDs.

I worked out take away filling, oil cooler, heads, tools, car bits, birthday meals ect I would have been just ahead.
You had my sympathy all the way until I read that.  Now I'm green with envy....

A band appliances, CFLs, heating no higher than 18c. TV uses more than the old CRT
All our kitchen applicances are AA or AAA, and don't use tumbledryer at all.

I would but 70+ programmes on the BT Vision box make it difficult, but then I am confident on it being found illegal by EU and that it will not touch my browsing

We ditched Sky - not to do with affordability but after 16 years or so loyalty should mean you get HD for free. Cancelled it 18 months ago saving £50 a month and bought HD boc working on Freesat.

Some of the guys on here are paying a lot for broadband - do you really need all the speed? My o2 is £7.50 per month because my mobile phone is o2 so you get the discount. My electric and gas are higher than everyone else's - partly I suppose because I have gone OTT with garden lights, pond lights, border lights which are on for 4/5 hours every night on a mains system!! Over 200 lights and that is just the rear of the house. I am planning to run some mains cables out the front this year!!

I wouldn't like to take bets either way.  UK laws it seems to comply with - though that is under debate.  EU laws? I think the EU are joing to try to take the UK to court, not Phorm, in an attempt to tighten the privacy laws.

I think there may be a way around Phorm, but need a Phorm enabled line to test  :-X

If its the privacy part, remember Google are the scum of the earth when it comes to that, but the more vocal campaigners haven't really decided to get involved  :-/

There is a choice with Google though - I can use one of many search engines

Hmmm, don't bet on that either  :-X

In Google's case, its easy to partially opt-out in that you delete the cookie, and always reject it (it still has the ability to show profiled ads on their search results page, as google has a cache of the top results anyway).

In Phorm's case, I certainly have concerns about the technology, as you cannot guarantee you are opted-out - as no cookie, or a corrupted cookie (as we all see, even here - eg OOF no longer remembers your logon) means you are OPTED-IN!

There are other issues I have with Phorm (or whatever they are trying to rebrand it as currently), to the extent I have requested that all the (non corporate) websites I look after are not profiled. To further upset me (the website opt-out is friggin difficult to find on Phorm's site - I reckon they have purposely hidden it), possibly coincidental, as soon as I opted out, we had suspicious activity on the site, so I think it profiled it anyway  >:(

A lot of people have noticed this, Amazon and Wikipedia both have opted out, even though by doing so gives P***m some respectability. It will not take many more big sites to do this to kill them off, but then a gun would be even more effective.

Oh I have threatened BT as well - even looking at legal action and suing them for a replacement PVR.

As a top level customer with BT Vision (mind you only TV Replay subscribed) they have to be careful as my money would be just as welcome by other ISPs.

Any scanning is change of contract - then it is automatically void.

Hmm I can copy data off the HDD to a PC - that is one problem solved

Don't think even if a whole bucketload of big websites opting out would make a difference to be honest - they can profile (to an extent) purely on the URL of the big sites, eg, Amazon, user reads books. Phorm doesn't need to scan Amazon for that ;)
