Back in the service menu, is it seeing speed pulses, and does it show FWD in all gears except REV?

yep shows everything ok
the roads have been the same since i was born
and speed pulses work in all gears and goes rev when reverse is selected

And to confirm, FWD in all other gears?

yep and all speeds from 0 to 90 and still counts the speed

right got in the car this morning and set the car position
and moved the airel from the boot to the inside the back window

the car knows where i am all the time and when i put destination in it knows where to go turn by turn

even when i turn the ignition off and leave it for a while and go back to it, it knows where i am and where to go

and i'm getting in between 6 and 12 satalites

yeah all sorted
