Holiday'd in Kos about 20 years ago & on Easter Sunday, in the Square by the Cathedral there was a bomb making competition where locals would set off home-made bombs consisting of a lot of string, sticky tape & cardboard with the contents of shotgun cartridges in side.
Smoking debris flew all over the place.
The biggest laugh was when some guy walked into the centre with a huge cardboard box & lit the fuse - you've never seen a crowd disperse so quickly as they did! :o
