No 10 - Sorting out thier exspence accounts
« on: 21 April 2009, 13:42:00 »

http://www.number10.gov.uk/

Just watching the lunch time news on the PM sorting out MP's exspenses as early as next week.

Wonder how much it will save. ::)

Where the savings will be utilised. :-/

Then what will they be given in return. :-X

If they are given anything 'in return' it will just underline that they always were a big perk rather than as it should be - a refund of expenses necessarily incurred in doing the job.

What's the betting that the MP's throw out the proposal when it goes to the vote - just like they did last time?

Actually in the big scheme of things the amount of money is tiny, but it still grates big time that we are paying for all their mortgages, council tax etc etc

Thieving b'stards. It gives those few that do actually care about their constituents a bad name.

I know exactly what they should get "in return" for losing their perks. A free of charge dormitory for their use a short stagger from the members' bar. Surely that's all they need? They can then pay for all their stuff from John Lewis themselves and keep it in their real house instead of lodging with their sister's aunt's cousin and pocketing the cash.  >:(

Actually I'm ok with her staying with her mother's brother's niece's dog and I would even be happy if the dog was paid a fair market rate for the room - that after all is the expense she incurs being an MP,  not the mortgage, home cinema, etc for the family stately home wherever it is.. >:(

This is what I said in an earlier post on the subject --- they could free up some space in the Houses of Parliament ---- and this way they can keep our "elected representatives" secure too.
