Well the car tax has increased as expected.

Can the omega depreciate any more than it already does?

All year 2000...


3.0 Auto    £440 :'(

3.0 Manual £415

2.5 Auto £440

2.5 Manual £415

2.0 Auto £415

2.0 Manual Estate £415

2.0 Manual saloon £300 (by 1 pt!!)

I spotted that one as well.  not sure on the road tax for the pre emissions classified vehicles (Septe 01????) mine is '99 so I think I escape the badger's grip

As far as I can tell for, this is still for just post 2001 cars

Apologies, should have used a later model for figues.

The tax applies to cars first registered on or after 1 March 2001.


I imagine the 2000/01 emisions will be fairly similar regardless.

Fuel tax escalator is back >:(

Not sure if they have dropped the 2001-2006 new band or not

How i read it this is what it is based on according to .gov web site, i may be wrong though, it has been known  ;D

i don't see them reducing motorbike tax, its all money making bullsh!t this green stuff, my bike is far greener than most cars, but costs twice as much to tax as a 1.4 DCi Megan!  >:(

Don't think the rates quoted are right. In pre budget report in 2008 it was announced that there would be new bands created from May 2009. Cars with emissions above 225g/km  BUT registered before 23/03/06 will remain in this band. Thus Tax for this year for LPG cars will be £200 rising to £235 in 2010 and for petrol £215 rising to £245 in 2010.
I read all of this as my 3.2 LPG Mig will cost me £200 (going up from £195) this year as my tax is due 1st May!!

Not sure if I heard it right,but Im sure Cameron said that Darlings borrowing for the next 2 years is more than the total borrowings of every previous chancellors borrowings combined. :-/ :o :o
