Get  a wine coloured carpet then any future accidents will be irrelevant

either use a straw or a sponge and squeeze into a clean glass after then stick a rug over it

update - I am informed that white wine has been applied first and now the heavies are going in with the bicarb. I sort of expressed agreement to this strategy - back to the garage I think.
